表面の空気に触れる面は多列繊毛上皮で覆われており、その下は著名な基底膜を-
介して結合組織によって裏打ちされている。この結合組織の中には多数の小さい---
混合腺が散在し、その分泌物は鼻腔に潤いを与える。更に中及び下鼻甲介の深い--
部分には、多数の静脈性の血管腔があり、全体として鼻甲介海綿体と呼ばれる。---
これは鼻腔を通過する空気を暖める働きをするが、炎症性の刺激でここに充血が---
起こると、全体として膨大して鼻甲介を隆起させ、空気の通路を狭めて鼻詰まり-----
を起こさせる。-----------------------------------------------------------

The surface of the nasal cavity is covered all over with cilated columnar ----
epithelium, which is connected with a underlying connective tissue by -------
a conspicuous basement membrane. In the connective tissue there are -----
numerous small mixed mucous glands scatteredly. In the deeper portion -----
of the middle and lower conchae there are rich venous plexuses, that serve--
to warm the air passing through the nose but cause sometimes engorgement -
and thereby blockade of breathing.------------------------------------
