嗅部の粘膜は嗅上皮と呼ばれる特別の感覚上皮と、それを裏打ちする-------
結合組織からなる。嗅上皮は繊毛を持たない多列円柱上皮で、感覚細胞と----
支持細胞からなり、支持細胞の核は長楕円形で濃染し、上皮の表面に近い----
位置に密集して並び、感覚細胞の核は円形に近い楕円形で、支持細胞の核---
の位置と細胞の基底部の間の広い範囲に数列を作って、疎に配列する。------
基底膜は極めて薄く、その下に多数の血管が密着する。上皮下の結合組織----
の中には多数の無髄神経（嗅神経）の小束と、嗅部に特有の腺、ボウマン腺----
の切り口が存在する。ボウマン腺の導管は上皮細胞の間を貫いて上皮の表面--
に開口する。--------------------------------------------------------

The mucous membrane of the olfactory portion, regio olfactoria, consists of ------
the olfactory epithelium and the underlying connective tussue. The olfactory -----
epithelium consists exclusively of olfactory sensory cells and supporting sells. -----
The basement membrane is very thin, contrary to that of respiratory mucous ----
membrane. In the subepitheliar connective tissue there are very dense meshwork -
of capillary vessels, small nerve fiber bundles and special serous glands, glands ----
of Bowman, whose ducts pass through the epithelium and open to the free surface.
