尿管は内側から外に向かって粘膜・粘膜下組織・筋層・外膜からなる。粘膜は---

粘膜上皮とそれを裏打ちする粘膜固有層からなり、粘膜固有層は境目なしに粘---

膜下組織に続く。筋層は平滑筋からなり、筋繊維の走行は部位によって一定で---

はないが、おおむね管腔を螺旋状に取り巻いている。筋繊維の収縮によって管----

腔は狭められ、横断面では不規則な星形をしめす。粘膜上皮は移行上皮である。

This is a transverse section of ureter, which consists of mucous membrane, submucous

connective tissue, muscular layer, and adventitia. The mucous membrane in turn--------

consists of transitional epithelium and underlining lamina propria which shifts to---------

submucous connective tissue without any boundary. The muscular layer is composed of

smooth muscle fiber bundles running mostly spiral to the lumen. Because of---------------

construction of muscle fibers several longitudinal folds protrude into the lumen so that--

the lumen takes irregular star form in the transverse section.----------------------------------
