卵巣1．概観１．

これはサルの卵巣の矢状断の全景である。図の左端は腹膜（子宮広間膜）で、

卵巣はこれの前面に付着している。この付着部を卵巣間膜という。卵巣の実

質は、中軸部の血管を伴う結合組織（卵巣の髄質）と、これを厚く取り巻く

皮質からなる。卵巣の表面は腹膜（漿膜）によって包まれ、その直下に緻密

な繊維性結合組織である白膜が存在する。卵巣の白膜は精巣の白膜に比べる

と著明に薄い。皮質には細胞成分に富む結合組織（卵巣支質）の中に、様々

な発育段階の卵胞が存在している。この図では中央上部に黄体も見られる。

This is a hole sagittal section of a monkey. At left the ovary is attached---------

by the mesovarium to the broad ligament, from which fibrous connective-----

tissue with blood vessels enters into the ovary and constitutes the medulla----

of ovary. The very thick cortex, surrounding the medulla, consists of----------

numerous egg-follicles of various developing stages, embedded in the-----------

cell-rich connective tissue (stroma ovarii). In this specimen a well developed--

corpus luteum is seen at upper middle portion. The surface of the ovary is-----

enveloped by peritoneum (serosa) and there beneath dense connective tissue

(tunica albuginea), being exceedingly less developed than that of the testis.----
