これは妊娠３ヶ月の卵巣で、赤く染まった大きな黄体が卵巣全体に広がっている。

卵巣の表面を包んでいる紫色の薄い層が卵巣皮質である。-----------------------------

Human, fixation with formalin, embedding with paraffin, H-E stain, x 5.

This is a human ovary of the 3^rd month of gestation. A very large Corpus luteum

graviditatis, intensely red stained, is seen in the middle of this ovary. The violet--

stained thin layer covering the ovarian surface is the ovarian cortex.---------------
