膵臓は各種の消化酵素を分泌する大きな外分泌腺であると同時に、---
血糖値を調節するホルモン分泌する内分泌腺でもある。このホルモン、-
インシュリンは外分泌腺の内部に散在する、島と呼ばれる細胞集団----
から分泌される。この図はヒトの膵臓の弱拡大の全景である。---------
外分泌腺はこのようにヘマトキシリンによって濃い紫色に染まり、------
結合組織によって包まれて、多数の小葉に区画される。このような-----
超弱拡大では、島を識別することはできない。----------------------

insulin and glucagon, controls the carbohydrate metabolism of the body. -------
The exocrine portion stains deep violet with hematoxylin and divided ----------
into smaller lobules with interlobular connective tissues. This is a general-------
view of human pancreas stained with H-E method. The endocrine portion,------
islets of Langerhans, is not perceivable in such very low power magnification.---
